Data Protection Statement for the website
In as far as our website offers you the option to enter personal data (email addresses, names, addresses), disclosure of that data by the user is on a strictly voluntary basis. The data entered in the member's area under "Data management" will be used for finding a lawyer on the ÖRAK website and can be retrieved and viewed by users of the website. This data can be updated by the members personally or by ÖRAK.
Each user has the right to information about his/her personal data stored, its origins and recipients, the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to rectification, restriction, erasure, objection or portability of such data at any time. The information is free of charge if it concerns current data of a data application and if no earlier request for information has been made in the current year.

This website uses "cookies" to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer.

Data processing for managing events
Data will be processed on the basis of your consent or for performing a contractual relationship where you attend our events, as well as for organising and carrying out events.
During an event we may take photos and make video recordings for documentation purposes. They will be processed based on our legitimate interest in documenting the event and coverage of the same in the media (such as in periodicals, magazines, publications or on websites and social media platforms).

Data will be processed on the basis of a statutory duty and for performing a contractual relationship under the on-call service of lawyers, for organising a collective accident insurance and a financial loss liability insurance for legal aid cases, for handling insurance cases and for mailing the Anwaltsblatt [Austrian Lawyers’ Gazette].

Data processing as part of fulfilling sovereign tasks
Data is processed on a statutory basis and, pursuant to Section 36 of the Austrian Lawyers' Code [RAO], for keeping a single Austria-wide database, for the purposes of the Bar's pension institutions, as well as for processing and billing special lump-sum fees as defined in Section 16(4) RAO.
